HealthFirst Patient Portal — Full-Stack Web Platform
A HIPAA-compliant patient management portal enabling appointment booking, prescription tracking, and telemedicine for a chain of 12 clinics across India.
The Challenge
HealthFirst was managing patient records on spreadsheets and a legacy Windows desktop app. Patients had no self-service option, leading to 200+ daily phone calls for appointments and frustrated staff. The existing system had zero data security compliance.
Our Solution
We built a full-stack Next.js portal with a secure REST API backed by a MySQL database. Key features include role-based access for doctors, nurses, and receptionists; an online booking engine with real-time slot availability; digital prescription pads; and a WhatsApp notification layer for appointment reminders. The system is deployed on AWS behind a WAF for HIPAA compliance.
